WAIT UR SO RIGHT. Something something the deep rooted belief he cannot love correctly. He cannot maintain a relationship that gives him the intimacy he desperately craves because he can’t provide what they want in return. He wants so badly to be loved and he cannot provide anything in return. Not anything they want. But the corruption doesn’t want that. It wants a soft warm body to burrow inside and make their home. It doesn’t care if he can’t love them like a human. They aren’t human. And they love him in some deep primal way and he can love them back, in that same way. In a way that’s so much less complicated and confusing and just Is. In a way that’s maybe not how you’re supposed to love someone but is so overwhelming and easy. He can’t give a partner what they want. But he can be consumed.
