Actually Elias getting jon deeper into the eye to keep him away from the hive is soooo good. An irresistible mystery. A good distraction. Something deeply fulfilling. Jon swollen with his child and digging into every detail be can find on him…beholding slowly beginning to curl up in his brain and purr and feed a different fear and hunger. Beholding becoming a comfort. He hears the hives song , so loud it hurts, but Elias’ arms are warm and he stole him so thoroughly and there is something deep in his womb eating him alive growing off of his energy and it’s somehow a reassurance as much as it’s horrifying. Thinks about elias running his hand over his belly as Jon tries to act like he wasn’t just looking through his things. Elias smiles against his neck. His darling archivist is so easy to push in the right direction. The hive can sing and writhe and purr in his ear but Elias is right behind him, dangling all the answers he could ever want right in front of his head. And he if claimed. He has that love and warmth. The hive could give him it never-ending, maybe. But could the hive give him answers? Could the hive give him protection from the terrible unknown? Could the hive explain everything he’s ever wondered about himself? Could the hive know him? Could the hive be so fascinating?

Goddd. I’m thinking about them. Maybe elias could give him some eye artifacts that call to him a little too much. Scare him and make him worse. Comfort him in some twisted way. Both, ideally.
