There’s a lot of criticism for mpreg and the like about how a lot of the time it seems almost like a punishment or like a way to degrade the character and I just want to say that sometimes that’s the point. Sometimes pregnancy in fiction is about the loss of autonomy, the dehumanization, the disconnect between one’s mind and one’s body, the pain and horror of being forced to be an incubator to something unwanted, even the physical pain and misery that pregnancy comes with.
Sometimes it’s all those things and it’s a kink too. They aren’t mutually exclusive. Some of us work through our shit by making it horny.
