Attention: Important Reminder
To all staff,
This is a reminder that the library’s purpose is to manage and study books only. Items exhibiting supernatural properties are strictly prohibited from being brought into or stored within site premises under any circumstances.
Recent discussions referencing the figure known as Heinrich Unheimlich have led to some confusion. To be clear unless related materials are in the form of a book, expressing abnormal qualities, the library has no interest in them.
We are currently dealing with a significant breach of this policy. A crude wooden doll expressing abnormal qualities has been brought in to the library (see image attached).
Reportedly this item only becomes active under the observation of children, performing slight movement, as well as allegedly vocalizing at night by singing a nursery rhyme about the aforementioned figure in German. Despite this, this object has already caused some issues with the more territorial volumes we have in our possession and its continued presence poses unknown risks to both personnel and the library’s integrity.
Let this serve as a final warning: any employee found to have knowingly or unknowingly introduced a non-book anomalous item into the library will face immediate suspension, pending formal investigation, and may be subject to termination.
Bringing such items into the facility endangers not only your own life but potentially the lives of everyone within this library.
