A brown faux leather hardcover journal (15.8x11cm). It contains 100 blank A5 pages. On the front cover a torn scrap of paper is glued on with a title typed on it, the title reads “A report of everything for nobody - a warning for a lost world”.
The book contains torn up scraps of some other destroyed book that have been pieced together. The text of the book consists of observations of items, flora and fauna in a world that has been destroyed by pollution. The things that the writer focuses on range from mundane detritus to unnatural occurrences. 27 separate sets of observations have been found currently.
The item was procured from a custodian in central london after they had a public breakdown at their workplace about the trash/recycling. After an altercation the police were brought in. The book was on the custodian at the time of their arrest and was taken from them as evidence. It was later procured from evidence. From what can be gathered the custodian found the scraps of paper after a trashbag tore open, after reading a scrap they decided to collect them and attempt to piece them together out of curiosity.
From testing as well as the interview with the previous victim its abilities have been found. Its main ability appears to be causing the reader to suffer from vivid nightmares of the world described in the report. The worst effect suffered has been visions of it while awake but that only occured with high amounts of exposure.
A current theory is that before the book was destroyed it potentially had the ability to transport people to this world fully but in its current state it can only cause nightmares of it.
Tracking other pages or the cover has been unsuccessful. Two possible theories have been proposed either someone disposed of the pages of this book using multiple methods/locations or perhaps these cursed books can manifest in such a destroyed state from the begining.
The book is currently categorised as a aspect of crawling rot based off of the trash and filth focus. If it is found to become volatile it will be recategorized as the ravaging burn and transferred accordingly.
