Anyway, I rotated this a while back, and from what I hear the latest episode of the spin-off features a bastard statement giver, so this is as good a time for sharing as any. I think Jonah Magnus could’ve been a bastard son. Shown from a young age that the world can take away from you an opportunity your brother was born with, he’d be deeply disillusioned with the concept of fairness from the start. It makes sense to think of this as a partial explanation for his determination to not bend his neck to inertia and claw his way into the winners’ side; he’d have been doing that from day one.
