A quick digital painting of Jonathan "Jon" Sims and The Admiral of The Magnus Archives. Jon is a British Indian man with about shoulder long dark hair streaked with white and a stubble beard. He is half sitting, half lying on a couch and depicted in profile, looking to the right side of the picture. He has a laceration on his cheek which got fixed up with two Steri-Strips and a black eye. There are light blood smears here and there like at his ear and on his forehead. His skin is pockmarked with faded round scars. His neck and right hand are bandaged. Jon wears a faded green cardigan and grey joggers. He's scratching The Admiral, who sits in his lap, under the chin and his bandaged right hand lightly rests on the cat's body. The Admiral is facing Jon, but tilts his face to the front to give Jon better access to get chin scratches. Once again @tmaappreciationweek gets me to finish something I wanted to draw for a while now.
In one of the Magnus Protocol streams (I think it was the Kickstarter pre-launch stream?) Jonny or Alex said something about a scrawny, beaten up street cat Admiral (and something about him being a ginger) and my mind immediately went to draw parallels to Jon getting beaten up all the time in S3.

So Day 2: Animals of TMA - The Admiral.
Again.

Won’t be able to get something done for every day cause it’s con crunch season! But I can’t just pass over an opportunity to draw The Admiral. I just love cats…
