An unexpected (on my part) addition to @tmaappreciationweek. This wasn’t written with any specific prompt in mind, but it certainly does for my favourite ship!
When Jon came back to his office after months away, with gravedirt still under his fingernails and blood still drying on his throat, he stared at the pile of tapes on his desk for a very long time.
I’ve left some tapes for you in your office, Elias had said as Jon left, still wearing the calm, self-satisfied smile that had been plastered on his face through their entire confrontation, You’ve been away for quite awhile. I suggest you start catching up.
Jon’s first instinct was that Elias could go fuck himself. He had been ‘away’ because Elias had murdered an old man in cold blood and allowed Jon to be blamed for it, so Jon really wasn’t keen to listen to any of his suggestions.
Still, he couldn’t help his curiosity (he never could), so he looked over the tapes. Most of them were neatly labelled in Martin’s handwriting, though one or two were written by Tim, and some were in a hand he didn’t recognize - Melanie’s, if he had to guess.
Case #9900112
Case #9770211
Jon brushed his fingers over the thin plastic labels. How long had it been since he’d seen Martin’s handwriting? It was an odd thing to be nostalgic for, but, well, he had been away for quite awhile. He could forgive himself for getting a bit sentimental.
For the prompt “favorite ship” for @tmaappreciationweek , it’s Jon and Martin! I started listening in I think January of 2020, and this show and these two got me through the entire pandemic and finishing my degree, and it has truly supported me. I know that’s mushy, but it’s true. And I will always love and appreciate it.
Day 5 for @tmaappreciationweek and I went with “What If” Daisy didn’t Kill Mike for this one, specifically going back to a comment I made on one of the updates for Not Quite Somewhere Else where I said I think Jon would have killed Mike during his short avatar murder spree in Season 5 considering he killed Jared for something he asked Jared to do I don’t think it’s unlikely Jon would have forgotten about the time Mike threw him thousands of feet into the air.
I think Mike’s domain would have been filled with pylons cause I like Pylons and it fits his vibe to me.
I’m rearranging my prompts a little bit here, because today is the actual one-year anniversary since the podcast ended (wild!) and I wanted to get this fic out today in dedication to that. Please enjoy!

It is 3 o’clock in the morning, Somewhere Else, and Martin can hear Jon pacing in the kitchen.
For Day 6 of @tmaappreciationweek I went with the prompt Friendships!
Mainly cause I want the Season 4 Archive crew to have one good day when they’re all getting along, having a good time, and just being friends with each other. None of that lonely, everyone bullying Jon stuff. Just good vibes.
For Day 7 of @tmaappreciationweek I went with the Prompt Somewhere Else just to shamelessly show off my Post!Magnus Archives/ Infinity Train comic, and also to announce that I have started posting it on tapas! I will be keeping each part 10 pages or less, so I can continue posting the whole thing on tumblr and Instagram like before, but now navigation should be easier for new readers! The tapas link is right here!
Thank you so much for this event, mystery moderator of @tmaappreciationweek It was a lot of fun to work on stuff for each day of the week and to see everyone else’s works!
