The eye man.👁️

This is no deception so please continue reading. (wink wink) First face of a frame series I will be doing! I’m planning to draw as many TMA characters as I can in this frame-style. So hang around if you want to see more! :]

A collection of quotes from MAG 192, presented in particular order:

“When Sasha James barrelled past her without even glancing in her direction, Rosie knew she’d been right to wait.”

“She was just going to sit there, watch, and hope to go unnoticed.

“The old man and his… daughter? Their murderous joy. She couldn’t stop thinking about their faces. How they had looked right past her as they ran through the building.”

“People have come to see Elias. No. Not people. Not anymore. They stare through her, ”

“Behind his desk, without missing a beat of his conversation, Elias caught her eye,”

“Mr. Bouchard had smiled at her as the inspector marched him out. He wasn’t even surprised. She hadn’t smiled back.”

“At the very least, [Elias] had never lied to her, never failed to validate her suspicions or indulge her snooping. As afraid as she was, he seemed to understand her.”

I know he’s kind of a polarizing character, but I have to say, Elias Bouchard truly is Iconic. When you hear the twist of “the boring middle manager was actually secretly an evil eldritch monster the whole time!” you sort of assume that the boring middle manager persona was just a facade, but no, he really does seem to just enjoy dull administrative work. He’s both exactly as boring as he seems on the surface and profoundly fucked up in ways you couldn’t imagine. He’s practically omniscient and playing 4-D chess with everyone, but he responds to even slight hiccups in his elaborate scheme with acts of extreme violence. He beats an old man to death with a metal pipe and when someone brings it up later he goes, “Yeah I may have overreacted there.” His employees are constantly trying to murder him. He broke out of prison just so he could give a dramatic monologue. He had a weird gay thing going on with seemingly every man he met in the past 200 years. He loves scheduling.

Somehow from two different bookstores in two different states I have acquired two books that belonged to the same person..

If you’re out there John Larrabee, hmu and we can talk about Tom Paine. Also I have your boarding pass from 2014 that you were taking notes on.

“Not beating the ___ allegations” is such a ‘now’ turn of phrase, implying as it does a world where everyone’s behavior is always on literal trial by a guilt-presuming judge and jury that consists of anyone who happens to be paying attention.

Not beating the panopticon allegations

My headcanon I have absolutely zero basis for is that Elias and Tim totally fucked before Tim joined the Magnus Institute. By which I mean that Peter and Elias seek out lonely people desperate for human affection, and have godawful threesome sex with them. Like, just the worst. Elias likes to watch and everyone can feel the judgment in his gaze, meanwhile Peter doesn’t seem to look at person even while he’s fucking them like they could be a fleshlight for all he cares, and half the time they’re bickering like the old married couple they are (and their one night stand is not a part of the conversation at all, just forced to sit and listen). It’s just altogether objectifying and Bad.

Anyway, Tim after his brother’s death was totally a lonely soul ready to get dragged into whatever that is.

@itchyeye this post? :3

oh my god. i fucking forgot that distracting elias was a genuine method of making sure he doesn’t spy on you. give him really complicated paperwork to make sure he doesn’t use his eldritch monster powers. “don’t worry guys i have a plan. [throws budgeting plans into the next room] GO FETCH”

I really think Elias loves scheduling so much because he looks into his employees’ lives and he gives them time off for events that they never informed him of. It’s nice for them - they’ll get a day off for things like their child’s birthday. If they’re worried about missing money when they miss a shift, they’re scheduled to come in for a day that they normally don’t work to make up for it. If they’re not worried about finances, they just get given a day off. It’s so nice, but it’s also so creepy, because how did Elias know that they would need to have the morning off to help their father get to his doctor’s appointment? Their dad hadn’t even told them about it when the schedule was made!

The absolute worst part of Elias getting arrested for murder and Peter taking over as Head of the Institute, is that suddenly everyone needed to figure out how to actually ask for time off. They’ll ask their department manager, but the department managers will say, “I’d approve it, but I don’t actually make our schedules…”

Yes, I’ve done the work analyzing this relationship’s problematic traits and I’ve come to the educated conclusion that I still want them to fuck
