I love the idea of og!Elias having just some god-awful tattoos. I mean the kind done by drunken teens daring each other to at a party, that he was lucky didn’t get infected too badly. And then more, gotten from cheap parlors by amateur hands, because he’s already gotten some tattoos, might as well get more! He wants to cover his skin in things that amuse him, to become a canvas that he enjoys looking at in the mirror.

Jonah hates them. They’re ugly things, of course they are. Even if the art had been good to begin with, the majority had healed very poorly. Elias might have fond memories attached to even the worst of them, where he had gotten tattooed in the company of friends no longer with him, but Jonah certainly doesn’t care about that. The tattoos look awful. They’re immature, asinine things, and Jonah does not want them on his body. He gets them removed and covered up as soon as he’s able to.
