The archive staff start taking them down in irritation, but they can never quite get them all. They’ll think for a moment that the googly eyes are gone, just to hear that small plastic rattling from across the room once again.
They sigh, and realize they can either give up and leave it, or try and search yet again.
you know that head cannon that the tape recorders are some kind of beholding extension of john in order to gather information thats important to him? yeah that, but with elias and googly eyes.
