My headcanon I have absolutely zero basis for is that Elias and Tim totally fucked before Tim joined the Magnus Institute. By which I mean that Peter and Elias seek out lonely people desperate for human affection, and have godawful threesome sex with them. Like, just the worst. Elias likes to watch and everyone can feel the judgment in his gaze, meanwhile Peter doesn’t seem to look at person even while he’s fucking them like they could be a fleshlight for all he cares, and half the time they’re bickering like the old married couple they are (and their one night stand is not a part of the conversation at all, just forced to sit and listen). It’s just altogether objectifying and Bad.
Anyway, Tim after his brother’s death was totally a lonely soul ready to get dragged into whatever that is.
