elias truly is hilarious. he spends all this time devoting himself to the eye, hurting people for it, and he uses his newfound powers beyond mortal comprehension to… become a more efficient manager. and he does that for 200 years. truly the character ever
I love seeing absolute hate for Elias and it’s like, no I actually agree with the OP, but I think that trait only makes his character and story more interesting and impactful!! :D
I’m struck by how much Jonah loves living in spite of being driven largely by fear. He dooms the world “to ensure [his] own happiness”, he felt curiosity and not only fear when he discovered the Entities, he loves scheduling, he has a sense of humour, he likes cake… He genuinely wanted more life for its own sake and not simply because it was the alternative to dying.
i think elias genuinely cannot tolerate things going off plan. more specifically when he doesnt have any backups to pivot to. elias having ocd definitely feeds into this and it becomes like a more extreme version of his obsessions. this is why he goes so off script when lietner appears cause he wasnt expecting it at all and didnt have a plan for that
