It depends on what work you came from bc I’m a big experimentator!
Rn I’m drawing in procreate, but I used to use krita before. I like soft textured brushes, or just textured brushes, and sometimes I love using brushes with blending

thank you!! so, these are the brushes i’ve been using in krita when i was still working in it

although i have a bit of a different approach now, so i’d reccomend a different brush for render, smth like this
after the sketch, I usually lay out the shadows on the skin and then start adding the base color. inbetween the shadow and the light i make a warmer strip of color. after that i’d add some varying colours that would be close to the base one but a bit different in hue and the highlights would be my finishing touches
