I thought it just meant conservative for british people but idk how that applies to real estate

So “Tory” is slang for a Conservative. Which is the UK equivalent of a Republican in the U.S.

One of the scandals relating to them is that large amounts of tax-payer funds were allegedly redirected to cronies including real estate fraud etc. So long story short the running joke that all estate agents are Tories and they are raking it in together.
