I was doing some research and I discovered that Joseph Grimaldi's father was extremely superstitious around the number 14 and had a phobia of it. He'd have fits of anxiety when the 14th of the month was getting close and then be fine after. Ironically but also weirdly, he was born on the 14th, got married on the 14th and died on the 14th.

Was this the inspiration for the 14 fears in TMA? Or is it just a really wild coincidence?

Interesting stuff. I was not aware of this and I would be hugely, wildly surprised if @jonnywaistcoat factored it in, in any way.

I suspect it’s just “one of those things”.
