April 2021

Sorry for the silly question, but do you sell prints anywhere? I ADORE the Sylvanas art and I would love a print if you do sell them :)

Hi, thank you for asking.

I do not at the moment, because I do not possess the skills to manage a print shop on my own and I need to check legally with my working status to open an online one on an already existing platform.

I might look into it this summer though. I am open to the idea if it’s not too much of a hassle with the paperwork and all.

I hope this answers your question and I hope you stay safe wherever you are! :)

I'm obsessed with the way you draw the musculature on bodies in your art! Also the way you draw Yasha and Beau, you give them so much character! Can I ask how you go about drawing bodies like that? I'm trying to get a handle on drawing muscle in the 3d space more realistically and if you have any tips I'd really appreciate it 💜

Hi there!

Thank you for the nice words!

As for how to draw bodies and muscles, I can only recommend learning extensively about anatomy in general.

A great starting point could be to get some anatomy books for artists.
We have a great series in France and I believe you can find English versions too. It’s called Morpho by Michel Lauricella. Otherwise, You can also follow someone called Modern Day James on Youtube. Their channel is a great source of information for drawing with a lot of technical explanations too!

To have a good representation in 3D space you need to understand how the body works first. What the main shapes/muscles/joints look like and how they work with one another to form a human body. (that’s where the book I referenced earlier intervenes)

Once you have a good grasp of anatomy (no need to know everything by heart, as long as you commit the major things to memory) you can start having fun with it. Stylize it, exaggerate it, try and experiment to find your own style! Inspire yourself from other people’s styles. Obesrve and learn what is or isn’t aesthetically pleasing to represent.

Otherwise, If you are motivated enough to spend time drawing and try to do it regularly, you should definitively improve. Commitment, and spending time mastering the tools, softwares, and techniques is a must (at least in my opinion).

Every trade or skill takes time to learn and that’s normal. I have been drawing actively for more than 10 years now. (when I say actively it’s with a precise goal in mind)

I wish you the best of luck and hope this answers your question!

Hi everyone!

Here is a Big Bad Gold Dracolich commission for Diocletian’s Cabbagefarm.

It is slightly out of my comfort commission zone.
I might accept to do monsters from time to time and on-demand only. I had fun designing this cutie!

also, to let you know: I will not open commissions for April. I have something big coming up for classes and I will need all the time I can take. It has a deadline on April 30th so hopefully, I’ll reopen commissions in early May.

Have a nice evening every-buddy!

Expression study for Artemis. The colored one is the concept I finished previously.

I am doing this for a school project. We are finishing the concept art and doing a complete 3D character based on it.

You can see the full concept art thread over on twitter at this link

Finally tried my hand at drawing our beloved Gloom Mistress.
I love her so much in both books!

‘’Reverend Daughter Harrowhark Nonagesimus had pretty much cornered the market on wearing black and sneering.’’ - Griddle

A big commission I worked on slowly in between other commissions for the past few months. I am really glad with how it turned out!

Had a lot of fun with the monochrome blue!

And that’s a french adventuring party AYE!

Artemis Concept Art

Hey there everyone!I finally completely finished my concept art for character modeling class!

I am currently doing the 3D model and I’ll post it as soon as It’s finished (still some time before that happens though haha)

You can see it on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/d8qLdW

I know it was wayyyyyy more dorky than that, but that’s all my brain could register from this scene. ;)

This sketch might have gone out of hand… oops!
Poor CaduceusClay got a nasty bite from that Reverser beast thingy.

I really liked the way Matt described the scene! it was so damn cool and nasty!

i absolutely adore the texture of your line work, i was curious if you could share what pen/settings you use? it just has that perfect thick square marker feeling

Sure thing.

On photoshop:

Shape Dynamic:
- Pen Pressure
- Minimum Diameter: 40%

- Dual brush thingy:
- scatter: 152% (but it really depends on your texture honestly, mine is a textured rectangle angled diagonally a bit)

Transfert:
- Pen Pressure
- Minimum: Depends, I have one at 40% (lighter more sketchy) and one at 75% (darker more inky)

- smoothing: check

After that, it also depends on how you use pressure and your tablet. I tend to have mine set up to quite sensible so whenever I use a bit of pressure I have a nice contrast ;)

I hope this helps!

Just some quick boyz sketches as I catch up on episode 135. ;)

I’ve been dreading all the fights they encounter since coming back to the big cold place… I really don’t want anything bad happening to any of the M9 (Including hot boi!)
