Hello friend - I don't know if you watch the Dragon Prince on Netflix, but if you have not and have no interest, look up a character by the name of Aaravos because if you were to render him in your style, the art piece I daresay would be powerful. 💀

hi! never heard of Dragon Prince but looked up Aaravos and damn, that guy legit looks like someone’s dnd OC (complimentary). always appreciate a purple twink, would definitely draw him for shits and giggles if i had less on my plate 🤭 thank you for introducing him to me, neat design!

hiya!!!!! i love ur art soooo much!!! just thought id share something fun if thats okay!!

i was watching a tv show recently and discovered an actor who i thought looked super familiar but i just couldnt place, then i realised that he looks exactly like hes been pulled straight from ur incredible caleb widogast art!! his name is andreas pietschmann and the series is called 1899 if u want to look it up!! hes german and his character in the tv show has nightmares about watching his family in a burning house, which i also thought was a really cool coincidence!

p.s. the way u do all of ur colours makes me climb my walls every time u post, its soooo good!!!

this ask is making me laugh cause i’m familiar with this guy! a few months back a friend of mine @mieletthe mentioned this actor as their faceclaim of sorts for Caleb, as well as how funny it was that he’d played characters that have TONS of overlap with Caleb, and the convo resulted in me watching a couple of series he was in (including 1899 by the way! which i moderately enjoyed, it was very good in some ways and perfectly mediocre in others).

anyway, long story short: i absolutely agree that he makes a great sad wet cat of a man Dirtleb, and it’s STUPID how reminiscent at least two of his characters are of Caleb. though appearance-wise his nose is probably the opposite of what i imagine Caleb’s looks like (Herr Pietschmann has an incredibly cute upturned nose, i picture Caleb’s to be longer, more hooked, and with a higher bumpier bridge), and his eyebrows are much much softer than my headcanon Caleb. but if i had to pick someone to play Caleb in a live action or whatever, i’d be more than happy with Andreas, despite the nose that doesn’t fit my vision 🤭 playing tragic tortured little guys with tons of trauma seems to be his niche, and he is good at it. he does have THE perfect Caleb hair in 1899 though, and i’ve used it as a reference before.

(for those not familiar with the dude: this is Andreas Pietschmann playing Eyk Larsen in 1899, tell me he doesn’t have major professor Widogast vibes)
