Two more sketches for the centaur!AU; Nor and Ice are both (half-? :)) reindeer (Svalbard reindeer for Nor, probably?). caffinatedstory suggested that Iceland could wear a crown woven with twigs and flowers to imitate his brother’s antlers, and I loved this idea too much not to draw it.
Not sure if they would grow their antlers once and for all during their teenage years or shed them every season… Ice would still have tiny fuzzy nubs instead of the real deal though.
Mushroom-hunting with your neighbour’s kid is very important.
(Thanks guys! I already had Fin’s design figured out (he’s a Finnish forest reindeer, they have really cute antlers that look like plush toys), but not Sealand’s. I decided at last that a pony would be perfect for him.)
I haven’t thought out designs for Wales, Scotland and North Ireland yet, but here’s one for England. :) He is the only actual centaur in this AU thus far – that is, part horse. Arthur is definitely the ‘hot-blooded’ type (I mostly referenced thoroughbreds while drawing him; their long legs and small hooves seemed very suitable for him). Has a golden champagne coat, with darker brown boots on the forelegs.
Also Francis! Part goat, like Belgium and the Netherlands; close to the Rove goat. Loves braids everywhere – hair, beard, coat. Monaco sometimes helps him with those.
