me and the lads were talking about Essek getting a familiar and @artofcarmen suggested a cat that comes out looking like a cat-sized moorbounder, which made me go “i’m drawing Essek with a tiny moorbounder kitten familiar now or so help me god”

i’ve been very busy with work recently and haven’t been able to draw much fanart, but i did manage to finish this one today! i’ve wanted to draw Essek and Verin for months, and i also really miss fancy dynasty clothes 🤭

the premise for this picture was simply ‘i want to try using green in my works more’ and then there was another shadowgast blanket, and shirt swapping, and it’s not even green now… just, take it. imagine essek rolling at disadvantage to perceive his nerd husband

yesterday i saw a linda friesen gown that made me black out for a sec, and afterwards i decided that i must draw essek wearing something inspired by it. i MUST. otherwise god will float down from her perch in the clouds and slap me in the face

the gown in question is this absolutely Spectacular thing that everyone needs to see. i modified it a bit, in particular to make it less of a dress and more Essek’s Body Obscuring Robes™, and incorporated them split sleeves. which is a thing that i do

this also counts as another instalment of my essek of the week series. it still exists. life just happens to me way too often

i wanted to draw another still from the beach episode of shadowgast: the anime, so i did

two (2) things: 1) ye that’s essek’s most salacious swimwear 2) someone please inform the wizards that studying at the beach is about as lame as you can go

finished watching tm9 reunited a couple of days ago, and afterwards thought that it might be time to end my little game of ‘how much shadowgast art can i produce without making them kiss each other silly’ 😌 don’t forget to kiss your dearest friend on the lips fellas!
