Do you have any advice on what animals to reference when drawing dragons? You seem to have your animal anatomy pretty figured out judging from your AWESOME art, so i thought you might be the right person to ask :)
Gosh! I honestly think a part of the beauty is that you can really use anything for dragons and chimeras all around. Some of the most unique dragon designs I’ve seen were inspired by creatures that had not even crossed my mind to use for reference!
However, I tend to enjoy using a combo between different mammals and dinosaurs for mine, since I’m particularly comfortable with the first and have a lot of visual memory for the second through various dino-related games I played in the past few years.
If you can think of something else that could be fun to toy with, I highly encourage experimenting!
