aside from being born as a baby genius animation prodigy.. how much time per day/ week did you usually spend on animation before it was your career?
Thanks for saying that, but I’m actually not that great an animator. I can get by, but I’ve only been doing cel animation for about six years. There are many younger animators that have been at it longer than me doing amazing work. But I’m always trying to get better and up my game 💪
I don’t have a good answer for your question because drawn animation isn’t really my career. I do a decent amount of animating but the majority of what I’ve gotten paid for the past few years has been still images like background art, etc. So with that in mind the best estimate I can give you is that I probably just practiced animation most of the day till i got tired of it. I made my first LNWC film in the end of the 4th year teaching myself animation. Which is also when my freelance career picked up. I can be pretty lazy about it sometimes so if you’re pretty determined you can definitely learn quicker than that. Good luck!
