Hey! Long time fan first time asked, how do you get your colour palettes?? I’ve taken a few colour theory classes but I can’t seem to get the hang of making my palettes work. Thank you so much!!
Aah i’ve had a few people ask me about my colours and i’m so useless cause idk how to answer it honestly ;a;, i usually just mess around and wait till it just clicks, lately ive been using gradient maps as a base then working off those but yeah i just kinda figure it out as i go
What has been your biggest asset when it comes to anatomy? Your drawings are so fluid and they have amazing anatomy!! Also what’s your favorite part of character design?
Doing life drawing! I cannot express enough how much life drawing benefits artists, its also really fun and if you cant do it in person you can do it online 10/10 reccomend for everyone just to help with the basics! For fluidity i always just try push the pose a little further than it naturally would be, following the action curves and making clean shillouettes helps to.
My favorite part of character desing is outfit design, though i can find it a bit stressful sometimes i absoloutly love it when it all comes together. Doing all the colours and the shspes and then it all coming together its just 👌👌👌👌 delicious

Yes! I plan on streaming very soon, i really want to get back to it. I have con soon which i need to get ready for but maybe after that i’ll start sorting my twitch out again 👀

His campaign ended last year?? Maybe two years ago?? Time??? He’s very happy now though, he is not a stay at home dad with his twins Sylfesta and Alana, with Xendros his wife he absoloutly adores. he is eventually going to go back into pirating when his kids are older but actually learn how to stear a ship this time, it was a fee too many crashes for Xensros she wasnt having it.

Ah it’s pretty sweet, hopefully will bring more folk back to tumblr now twitter is going down the toilet. I don’t draw much nsfw for it to really effect me but i do enjoy drawing some pin ups from time to time! Maybe ill do more CR pin ups or OC ones cause they are fun to draw.
do you have any more tips about techniques to use when life drawing? especially virtually? i have practiced it somewhat, but i struggle to figure out what to focus on or where to start.
This is the tip i remeber do quick only few second warm ups like 10 seconds, where you capture the gesture of the figure, then you can go slightly longer with a few minuets where you can focus on the form and shapes then go onto longer pieces where you can get into the details. Doing quick sketches although a bit stressful haha are really good! They help you just get quick ideas of shapes and movmwnts without focusing too much on the little details

What classes have you taken / exercises that you’ve done / videos that you’ve watched that have helped you evolve your art? Or what have you done to keep learning and bettering yourself?
I feel like my progress and ideas are stagnating, and I’m not somebody who can afford fancy art school, so I’m trying my best to learn from people who inspire me!
Uhh non really, im pretty much fully self taught. I did go to college for art but it was fine art and i 3D animation in Uni, so you don’t have to do any fancy school stuff to improve your art. Drawing from life is really good, life drawing classes you can get them on youtube as well as going out and drawing just folks in cafes or scenery.
You art and your like of it ebs and flows, you usually feel like youre stagnating when you’ve had a leap of what you’ve learned vs what you can draw, itll come back. What i usually do when i feel that way is i either try out new pens or mediums! Maybe do some crafts, just let yourself rest and you can learn passivly by just observing, the way light hits certain objects, how clothes fold when you move, how people faces move when they express feelings. Resting can be just as powerful forcing yourself to draw, i have found resting and observing more activly has helped my art improve!

Hello! So sorry if this has been asked before, as I’m rather new to the tumblr side. But, your lines are so soft! How do you get them line that? Or what brushes do you use? Because your art is so soft and vibrant, and just so warm and relaxing to look at. Do you have a list of the types you use, if that’s not too invasive? Apologies again, but keep up the great work.
Its totally fine! I useually use procreate to draw on and on there i mostly use stumpy pencil, ehich is a free brush you can finds here:
Then i use the nekko rull brush to blend with, but lately ive been trying out a bunch of different brushes, theyre usually just the ones that are on procreate. Then on clip studio i just use one called colour brush i downloaded from the sho pand ill use that one for everything!
