Usually if i see just art i like ill look at it and try figure out what they did that i liked and maybe how they did it! Also just experimentation i like to try out different brushes and just see where they take me
Hi, I love your art so much! You've inspired me to take up digital drawing again! I was wondering how you chose your poses and colors? Your art looks AMAZING, and I struggle to come up with those things. And, if it's not too much of a bother, any tips on messy sketches? I struggle so much with sketching because my silly brain wants everything to be perfect. Sorry if that was a lot of questions. Again, I love your art. You've been a huge inspiration to me!!!
Ahhh thats awesome!! So with poses i usually just imagine it jfjs sorry thats not helpful i have a really clear imagination so i can like very clearly pose characters BUT if im really having trouble with angles ill remake the pose in magic poser to try make sure i get the forshortening. If you are trying to get poses tho absoloutly get references and just work from them! Colours i will usually just play around until i feel it clicks together, understanding colour theroy defonaitly help.
Its good to just experiment with colours and poses, ill usually try to stay away from extreme saturation, so no going right into the corners i like to be a little off so like off whites, off blacks just makes it a little more realistic for example black hair is never true black it can be a blacky blue or blacky brown!
Dor doing messy sketches i used to be like SUPER perfectionist when it came to sketches till a games company absoloutly read me being like….that isnt a sketch…thats a fully rendered character it looks finalised i was like 8U having inperfect sketches is very good its about getting the idea down not the final product, you feel like your sketch has to be perfect final render but it doesnt its the sketch its suppsoed to be sketchy! It took me a while to undo that idea that it has to be perfect but just let yourself be messy, let yourself get down ideas its fun being messy 💕

Is it rude to Ask how you got on official Merch? Do you get a percentage or is it a one time commission type deal?
The CR team just messaged me one day and asked if they could licence that illustration for something! They weren’t sure what they where going to do with the piece when they first bought it so they just paid a licensing fee but they said they where thinking t-shirt!
I'm asking this more because I hope CR is the type of peeps to compensate fairly, and you don't need to go into details of exactly, but are you getting royalties or a percentage of each sale of the shirt? or was it an up front sum when they first bought it. I just wanna know CR doesnt screw over artists when they source from the community
I don’t get royalties or anything, i just got paid up front for the illustration which was fine with me!

Are you planning on opening more gourd-tier slots on Patreon at any point in the future or opening a pinglist for when one might become available? I absolutely ADORE your style and the paper doll comm option is amazing, and was just curious if it's realistically something I'd have a chance to go for ever, or if those slots are permanently closed?
I wont be opening more at this moment and i don’t ppan too, im not sure how to to do a ping list, or have a way for folk to see when they open sadly, i don’t even know when they open up fff. They arnt closed theyre just full, the best thing i can say is just keep an eye on it, also becoming a patreon and getting in the discord sometimes people will say when theyre leaving so other folk know there is a space, but really its just like a waiting for a space and hoping you get the slot
