Blaze is a way to pay tumblr to force your posts onto everyone, many if not the majority of users dislike this feature for different reasons, but I assume a big part of why is because it doesn’t mesh with the way tumblr works, where you’re very easily able to curate what you want to see on tumblr and being forced to interact with something that is unwanted clashes with that. As commonly seen on the internet, people may get aggressive and even threaten you over things like this.

When you get blazed by another, it can act as a form of public shaming to show to the rest of the tumblr your post and get them to attack you. This can be quite harmful, depending on the person who got blazed, blazing someone is good intentions can definitely happen, but more often than not this may end up being malicious or backfire on the person who got blazed.

With this in mind, you should be much more properly equipped to deal with the potential consequences of allowing others to blaze your posts, better to inform you and let you choose what to do. Sorry if I missed anything!!!

well thats quite an oversight from the folks at tumblr but hope folk who wanna use it dont use it in a nasty way

I can see the good and the bad for it but im not super interested so im just gonna turn it off~
